Banks, Insurance Firms Erect Stands At Trade Fair
Five banks and two
insurance companies have erected stands on the first day of the ongoing Lagos International Trade Fair.
The Tide source reports that the banks are Union Bank, First Bank, Stanbic IBTC Bank, Bank of Industry (BoI) and LAPO Microfinance Bank.
The insurance companies at the fair are Nigeria Deposit Insurance Corporation (NDIC) and Cornerstone Insurance.
Most of them, however, are yet to commence operation.
A worker of Union Bank, who pleaded anonymity, said that the bank would commence operation before the end of the day.
Also, a First Bank worker said that the bank was accepting cash deposit but yet to commence over the-counter cash withdrawal and ATM withdrawal.
Our soruce reports that the fair, organised by the Lagos Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI), began on November 4 and will end on November 13.
