One of the leaders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Omerelu Ward 5 and former Leader of the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Comrade Chinwendu Isaac Orduwa has reassured the Rivers State Governor, Siminalayi Fubara of total support at the grassroots level.
Orduwa said this during the inauguration of the executive members of the Sim Peoples Network (SPN), Ward Five, Omerelu in Ikwerre Local Government Area, yesterday.
He explained that the inauguration was to ensure that the grassroot is adequately covered for the government.
Orduwa hinted that he was prepared for the task so far as it concerns the Governor Fubara.
“ I will push ahead because I don’t want to fail. The result can come from anyone whether even my siblings. We shall all focus on making the Governor proud”, he said.
He also disclosed of plans to embark on an empowerment programme at the ward level once the necessary things are put in place.
The former youth activist further reassured the people of all inclusive administration where everyone will be glad to belong.
He noted that gone were the days when some sections of the people will hijack what belongs to the entire community under the guise of political leaders.
“When the righteous rule, the people rejoice. Also when the wicked rule, the people groan. Now we have a righteous man as our ruler, be ready to rejoice”, he said.
He also called on all SIM support groups in the State not to pay attention to black mail and campaigns of calomy as such was a cheap way of distracting them.
In his reaction, a Special Adviser to Governor Siminalayi Fubara, Dr Darlington Orji , said the essence of the exercise was to ensure that the grassroots are properly covered.
Orji who said the government was open for everyone, beckoned all those yet to join the various groups in support of the current administration to hurry and do so for the sake of unity and development.
He also reassured of carrying every one along and added that the government was for everyone.
