Commander Hails LG Boss Over Support
Isiokpo Local Vigilante outfit known as ISPAC has showered encomiums on the Chairman of Ikwerre Local Government Council of Rivers State, Engr Samuel Nwanosike for his massive support to the security outfit.
The Commander of the Isiokpo security outfit, Comrade Kingsley Ododo explained that the peace and calmness enjoyed in the area ,including the council and its environs could be attributable to the massive support the council chairman has extended to security agencies across the board.
Ododo said it has been the desire of the council to see total peace in every Ikwerre community which, according to him, the council chairman has marched words with action by providing necessary logistics for the outfit and sister security agencies to do their job.
He emphasised that Nwanosike means well for the development of the area as no meaningful development could thrive in an insecure environment.
“I must confess the enormous support the council chairman has given to us. This is a man who understands that governance can not thrive without security of lives and property, hence, the support for us and other sister agencies.
We have been working in synergy to deliver on our mandate; being the reason residents of Isiokpo, and other Ikwerre communities are enjoying relative peace.
“Having been supportive, we want to assure him of our full support to ensure the peace the council area is enjoying is sustained by going after criminal elements. His aim which is ensuring total peaceful environment where residents and investors can work freely without security threat must be given backing by us.We can assure him that his funds must yield the desired result.’’
He said everyone in Isiokpo-cum-Ikwerre as an LGA can attest that Hon Nwanosike has done marvellously well. “It is a thing of joy seeing our parents farm with peace of mind .We all know the situation before Ikwerre’s Mr Project came on board. Nwanosike can and has proved to Ikwerre people that he is a true son of the land. Isiokpo people are proud of him and will continue to give him necessary support to any level.’’
Meanwhile, the Divisional Police at Oyigbo has restated its unwavering determination to stamp out crime.
By this singular determination, the division is soliciting necessary support from everyone residing and doing business in the area to achieve this goal.
This was the position of the Divisional Police Officer ,CSP Emmanuel Udekwe when he received an award of excellence by the Niger Delta Social Influencer Group recently.
Udekwe said success in crime reduction could be achieved if necessary stakeholders could give the police relevant information.
He said relevant information is key to the fight against crime, assuring that the police will continue to do its best in the fight against crime.
