2023: Fubara’s Best Choice For Rivers-Group
A political pressure group, Rivers All Stars For Sim (RASS), has declared that the governorship candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Rivers State, Sir Siminialayi Fubara, was the most qualified to succeed Governor Nyesom Wike in 2023.
RASS Director-General, Chief Gift Iyumame Eke, popularly known as ‘Muma Gee’, made the declaration while addressing journalists in Port Harcourt, the state capital, recently.
Eke stated that although there were other good governorship candidates contesting on the platforms of opposition political parties in the state, the group was optimistic that Fubara would emerge victorious.
She said: “We sat and scrutinised the profiles of all guber candidates in Rivers State to know how committed, and their love for Rivers people. We went to the streets to ask questions, and at the end, we decided to support Sim Fubara.
“We are not God, we don’t want to know whether he will win or not but we have come all out to support him. We are optimistic that Sim will win the 2023 election. We are also asking youths of Rivers State to be optimistic.
“We have a number of good guber candidates in Rivers State, but we are saying that Sim is the most qualified.”
The RASS leader said the group has arranged a number of programmes aimed at selling Fubara’s candidacy to the people of the state, especially the youths.
Eke added: “We are also packaging ‘A Million Stars Match For Sim’, which we otherwise refer to as Sim Revolution Match to hold prior to the Simfubaration Concert, which for us, is a major and integral part of the activities of Rivers All For Sim as the programme will colour the streets of Port Harcourt.”
