Be Consistent In Prayers For Public Servants, Ariolu Charges Christians

Chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Council, Barrister George Ariolu, has tasked Christians to maintain consistency while offering prayers to God Almighty for those in authority.
He explained that as Christians, prayer ought to be an instrument for fighting unseen battles orchestrated by the enemies at every point in time.
Ariolusaid this in an address at the 12th year anniversary celebration of Revival Intercessors’ Ministries Int’l Inc in Port Harcourt.
While re-awakening the consciousness of Christians on the importance and value of praying for government,Ariolu said there were unseen forces influencing and stagnating the performance of leaders in authority against their desires and will of the people.
He recounted his administration’s achievements, and thanked God for making it possible for him to reach out to the people through his people-friendly policies as well as human capacity development programmes.
Ariolu, who expressed delight appearing in God’s presence, acknowledged the efforts and prayers of the General Overseer of Revival Intercessors’ Ministries Int’l Inc, Apostle Sam Godwin, towards his emergence as chairman of Obio/Akpor Local Government Area.
He further explained that residents and commuters can now freely go about their businesses without fear of harassment, stressing that mechanisms have been put in place to curb the menace of touting in the area.
He, however, assured that his administration would continue to manage scarce resources prudently for the overall interest and benefit of the people.
In his sermon, guest preacher, Rev. Don Odunze, who centred his message on grace, described grace as the God-factor that brings about opportunities.
According to him, grace is the only factor that differentiates a man from his adversaries.
He said the determinant factor between the rich and poor was opportunity, which is brought about by grace.
He further encouraged Christians to always cherish their wives, adding that good wives were one of the greatest grace men need to succeed in life.
The General Overseer of Revival Intercessors’ Ministries Int’l Inc, Apostle Sam Godwin, who prayed for God’s blessings and increment in Ariolu’s administration and family, also described the council chairman as a man of principle who has continued to recognise his root as a Christian.
Similarly, the host pastor commended Ariolu for giving the local government area a face-lift through his urban renewal programme and policies which continue to sustain the people of the area.
