Correspondents’ Chapel Holds Press Week
All is now set for the celebration of the 2021 Correspondents’ Chapel of the Rivers State Council, Nigeria Union of Journalists’ (NUJ) Week.
According to a statement signed by the Planning Committee Chairman of the event, Ignatius Chukwu and Secretary, Barth Ndubuwah, the programme is slated for 6th of December with an opening ceremony at the Ministry of Justice Conference Hall, Port Harcourt
According to the statement, the Special Guest of honour is the Commissioner for Information, and Communications, Pastor Paulinus Nsirim, while Chairman of the occasion is former House of Representatives member, Chief Ogbonna Nwuke,
Keynote speaker will be Ubong Essien, Special Adviser to NIMASA Director General Bishir Jamoh while a special congress will take place at the Chapel’s Secretariat,47 Ikwerre Road.
The statement said, there will be a peptalk by Mr Ofon Udofia, an entrepreneurial expert and professional, the Executive Secretary/CEO of the Institute of Export Operations and Management, Nigeria.
Other activities are facility tour to Bob Track Tractor Nig. Ltd, Iriebe; visit to Orphanage home, and a Dinner/Gala NIght at NBA Conference Hall, opposite PHALGA Secretariat, Port Harcourt.
The week, the statement added, would be rounded off on Sunday, with a thanksgiving service at Charismatic Renewal Ministries, Uyo Street, Rumuomasi.
The theme of the week is ‘Survival of Journalists in Security and Economic Uncertainties in Nigeria; Focus on Strategic Reporting of the Maritime Sector.
