Commissioner Hails Diri’s Budgetary Allocation To Ministry
Bayelsa State Commissioner for Ijaw National Affairs, Elder Erasmus Ucheowaji Patrick, has scored the state Governor, Douye Diri high for the upward review of budgetary allocation to the ministry.
This, The Tide learnt while speaking with the commissioner on the sidelines of the increase in the financial votes appropriated to the ministry during the recent presentation of the state’s 2022 budget by the governor to the state Assembly.
The Tide learnt that Patrick,an Andoni-born citizen of Rivers State was the third in the series of commissioners appointed to man the ministry of Ijaw Affairs since its creation in 2012 and the first from Rivers State to serve in the Bayelsa State Executive Council since the creation of the state in 1996.
The Commissioner who described the governor as having concern for the development of not only the state, but the entire Ijaw nation within his limits and available resources also added that Governor Diri’s passion and love for the Ijaw nation can not be excised from his upward review of the allocation to the ministry.
