APC Sponsoring Internal Crisis In PDP, Youths Allege
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP), Youth Wing, has called on the party’s leadership to explore all possible avenues to find a solution to the crisis rocking the party before the 2023 general election.
The PDP National Youth Movement said with all that Nigerians are going through in the hands of the All Progressives Congress (APC), they would not forgive the PDP, if it by any means allows the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) win the 2023 general election as a result of avoidable and resolvable crisis.
The President, PDP Youths Movement, Salaudeen Lukman, in a statement, alleged that the crisis rocking the PDP was the clear handiwork of external forces suspected to be the ruling party, sponsoring intruders to destabilize the major opposition party ahead of the 2023 general election for the ruling party (APC) to continue inflicting sufferings on Nigerians.
Lukman said, “Similar style was adopted prior to 2015 general election towards the end of Bamanga Tukur regime as national chairman of our dear party, an externally sponsored crisis threw the party into an internal crisis which degenerated to the extent it later paved way for a mole into Wadata Plaza who further destabilized PDP to enable the APC win 2015 general election.”
The youths advised stakeholders in the party to rise to their responsibilities to save the party and Nigerians from the challenges going on in the country by doing the needful before the 2023 general election.
According to the statement, “One will imagine the need for such legal battle after the expanded stakeholders’ intervention, including Board of Trustees, Governor’s Forum and other reputable leaders of the party with resolve to hold national convention of the party by October as against December when the incumbent leadership is supposed to be due in office.”
The youths noted that as much as they have not taken sides in the ongoing crisis, they commend Uche Secondus for his heroic disposition, maturity and absolute respect for rule of law, by handing over to national deputy chairman, North, following the court orders.
It added that such action teaches the APC to be a respecter of court orders and rule of law even when it does not serve their interest.
It said that the PDP youth across the country would not take it lightly with party leaders and stakeholders if they fail to step up efforts to arrest the uprising and resolve all lingering crises in the party.
“Nigerians will also not forgive our great party PDP should we allow any means, accidentally or occasionally for the misrule amidst poverty spree, double-digit inflation, unstable economy and insecurity among other calamities Nigeria nation is faced with under APC to continue beyond 2023.”
It said that in the coming days, PDP national youth movement may be forced to take a stand if the leaders refused to show beyond doubt, the capacity to resolve the crisis amicably.
