We’ll Disappoint Those Who Call Us Rubber Stamp, Reps Assure
The House of Representatives said, yesterday, that it will disappoint Nigerians claiming that the National Assembly was a rubber stamp of the Executive by playing its watch-dog role effectively and ensuring full implementation of the 2020 budget as passed by the lawmakers.
The House also said that it will work on giving the electoral act more powers to be functional and achieve what the Nigerian people desires of their electoral system
Addressing Assembly correspondents, House Spokesman, Hon Benjamin Kalu also said the House will make sure that the Petroleum Industry Governance Bill is passed into law this year.
Kalu said the resolve of the House to stamp its feet and play the role for which they were elected does not mean that the existing cordial relationship between the lawmakers and the Executive will be hampered, adding that are only determined to make the difference in the life of Nigerians.
