Wike Has Redeemed Governance, Says Oba
Pioneer President of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON) arid two-time Pioneer President of the Traditional Rulers of Oil Mineral Producing Communities of Nigeria (TROMPCON) and two -time Chairman of Rivers State Council of Traditional Rulers, Sir Chukumela Nnam Obi ll says Rivers State Governor, Chief Nyesom Wike has redefined governance and expanded the frontiers of service by his “superlative and legendary performance and achievements in his second-term 100 days in office as governor.”
In a statement issued in his palace at Omoku, yesterday, the monarch, who is also the Oba, Eze Ogba of Ogbaland, felicitated with the governor whom he noted has “exemplified an uncommon commitment to the speedy development of Rivers State”.
Oba Nnam Obi l1 maintained that Governor Wike had, even “long before his second -term 100 days in office exhibited immense capacity, hardwork, dexterity, sagacity, courage, and purposeful leadership with a great sense of responsibility in the discharge of his mandate”.
The oldest reigning monarch in the state expressed gratitude to Governor Wike for “keeping his promises of delivering quality and far- reaching democracy dividends to the people despite paucity of funds occasioned by the prevailing economic recession.”
He sued for more support for Wike and prayed God to grant him long life and more wisdom to achieve his dream and vision for Rivers State.

RSG INAUGURATES ARMED FORCES REMEMBRANCE DAY COMMITTEE
The Rivers State Government has inaugurated a Central Planning Committee to organize the celebration of the 2026 Armed Forces Remembrance Day (AFRD) in the State.
The committee was formally inaugurated by the Secretary to the State Government, Dr. Benibo Anabraba in Port Harcourt, last Thursday.
Dr Anabraba who also serves as Chairman of the Committee
highlighted the State Government’s deep appreciation for the sacrifices of Nigeria’s fallen heroes who laid down their lives for the nation’s peace and unity.
“These heroes have given their lives for the security and peace of our nation and deserve to be celebrated. The Armed Forces Remembrance Day is an opportunity to show our gratitude for their sacrifice,” he said.
Dr. Anabraba further extended recognition to all Security Agencies in the State, emphasizing the importance of the event in appreciating their contributions to national security and sovereignty.
The annual Armed Forces Remembrance Day, observed on January 15 across the country is dedicated to remember Nigeria’s departed soldiers and honouring the nation’s veterans.
