VC Hails Wike’s Investment In Education
The Vice Chancellor of Rivers State University (RSU), Port Harcourt, Prof Blessing Didia has said the present administration under the leadership of Governor Ezebunwo Nyesom Wike has invested hugely in the development of the educational sector in the state.
Didia stated this when he received in audience the leadership of some students who came under the umbrella of PDP National Students Association to pay him a courtesy visit in his office in Port Harcourt, recently.
He disclosed that the Rivers State University has been a proud beneficiary of the governor’s robust educational policy occasioned by the massive infrastructural development and the enabling environment, which according to him granted peace and stability which promoted qualitative teaching and learning in the institution. The VC thanked the students for appreciating the various achievements recorded by his administration and promised not to relent in his efforts to make the university a world class.
He used the opportunity to advised the students to be studious even as he commended them for supporting the state chief executive.
Responding, the leader of the students, Com Ichefula Wisdom said the association was formed to galvanise the students support for Governor Wike for 2019 general elections and praised the vice chancellor for his tremendous achievements in the school.
