Christians Told Not To Limit Selves
As life and living becomes more precarious across the world, Christians have been advised not to limit themselves by saying that it is impossible to change the world.
A Port Harcourt based motivational Speaker, Ms Aima Ojehanon gave the admonition in an Easter special seminar titled “purpose Built” at the Chapel of God International Worship Centre, Port Harcourt.
She said that God is not surprised by the nature of man, which is desperately wicked, but may be surprised that man has failed to see the purpose God had put in him to heal the world and give fulfillment to man.
Ms Ojehanon who is also the Project Manager of an Engineering firm, SAVI Developments, said that if everyone becomes the light in his little corner, very soon darkness would have no foothold in any part of the world.
She said the bigger things of life do not consist in money, possessions, positions and power, but in realizing the purpose of God which is determined by how everyone serves every other one selflessly.
According to her, it should be the desire of everyone to achieve the purpose God has put in them; adding that when that happens, God’s will for man would manifest in good that would result in peace and plenty.
In all the three days that the seminar held for different persons, Ojehanon said it was time everyone realized that their existence is not an accident of nature, but one specifically and specially crafted to meet a specific need of the world.
She said that purpose could be realized easily in persons that have opened themselves to learn, believe in God and develop faith on what God can do. It is the willingness to put a passion behind the natural hint to be of service to others that serves purpose.
“Some persons feel like teaching, preaching, advising, leading, giving or showing mercy more than others. No one should fight the urge as God in His holy book desires that we stir it up for the good of humanity”, she said.
