Construction Of Igwuruta-Etche Road To Ease Hardship

Governor, Dr. (Mrs) Ipalibo Harry Banigo says the flag off of reconstruction work on the Igwuruta-Etche Road by Governor Nyesom Wike, Tuesday will usher in a new lease of life and ease the prolonged hardship encountered by Residents of the areas and motorists.
Dr. Banigo, in a statement by her Press Secretary Paul Damgbor, while recounting the economic gains of the project, described the road as an important route that links three Local Government Councils and neighbouring Imo State, noting that agricultural produce from Etche, the food basket of Rivers State would be enhanced.
The Deputy Governor lauded Governor Wike for fast tracking the completion date of the road project from one year to six months pointing out that the action would accentuate development of the areas and boost commerce.
Dr. Banigo said the project was one of the campaign promises of Governor Wike-led administration to the people of Etche and Igwuruta community, adding that the present administration feels the plight of the people and is committed to addressing them.
She therefore solicited for continued support and cooperation of Rivers people to the Wike-led Government to enable it deliver more people-oriented projects to all parts of the State.
