Why Nadia Buari Reject $75,000 Endorsement Deal
Information at our disposal
has it that sultry actress Nadia Buari last week rejected a whopping $75,000 endorsement deal from Avante Grand because she is against bleaching and the product she was supposed to market is a skin bleaching product.
Nadia was said to have called off the signing at a board meeting in Paris after discovering that Clair products contained compounds of hydroquinone (a chemical used for skin whitening and bleaching).
The story was contained in a press statement released by Nadia’s PR, but according to General Manager of Avante Claire, Grand Afrique, Christopher Owen, the actress died not reject the offer because it was a bleaching product, but she wanted $75,000 instead of the $60,000 they were willing to offer her as a brand ambassador.
Owen said he has come out to refute the rumours concerning the $75,000 endorsement deal rejected by Nadia Buari as speculated in many quarters.
He stressed that his company offered the actress they chose out of many a total sum of $60,000 which she turned down after Avante declined a $15,000 raise she and her management requested for during negotiations, adding that Nadia’s refusal had nothing to do with the said bleaching chemicals.
According to Owen, his company is still interested in penning Buari because her brand remains relevant and is in demand by the market.
It would be recalled that earlier reports had it that actress Nadia Buari had rejected a juicy $75,000 endorsement deal from French Cosmetic Company Avante Claire Grande, because they deal in skin bleaching product.
