RSSDA Wins 2014 CIPM Award
The Rivers State Sustainable Development Agency (RSSDA) has won the Chartered Institute of Personnel Management (CIPM) 2014 HR Best Practice Award in the Public Sector category, for the second year.
The result was announced after a stiffly competitive exercise that was open to all public sector organizations in Nigeria and a rigorous selection process by CIPM and Accenture.
At an impressive 46th Annual National Conference in Abuja with the theme ‘Switch On’, the President and Chairman of Council of CIPM, Mr. Victor Famuibo said HR practice in the contemporary society has become very creative, innovative and revolutionary.
He said he was happy for RSSDA to have won for the second time “best in the Public Sector Category Award.
“it is in recognition of the way RSSDA has been consistent in the way they deliver HR services that we celebrate the agency, what we saw last year was not a fluke, it is consistent and fundamental”, he said.
The Executive Director of RSSDA, Mr. Noble Pepple, described the staff of the agency as its greatest asset, and asserted that there is no way ‘we can deliver quality results without quality staff, quality policy and creating environment for them to work and deliver’.
He pledged that the agency will double its efforts and try and remain at the top of the game where it is currently.
“Let me say a very big thank you and congratulations to our HR team. I think they’ve done a marvelous job and this award is a testament of their hard work”.
Earlier, the general manager Human Resources & Administration of RSSDA, Mr. Tonye Sukubo said coming on tops again shows there is something unique that the RSSDA team is doing and “we will continue in doing the right thing in a professional way”.
