Ikuru Urges Kinsmen To Reciprocate Amaechi’s Goodwill – Wike
Rivers State Deputy Governor, Engr. Tele Ikuru, says the people of Andoni Local Government Area should reciprocate Governor Chibuike Rotimi Amaechi’s goodwill by supporting the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the area.
Engr. Ikuru, who hails from Ikuru Town in Ward 5, Andoni Local Government Area of the state, said this Saturday when the Caretaker Committee Chairman of Andoni LGA, Hon. Sampson Egop, visited Ikuru Town, Ward 5 as part of his familiarization tour of the LGA.
He stressed that the current administration led by Governor Amaechi has brought a lot of development in terms of education, physical infrastructure, security of lives and property, among others to the area, stressing that “we must cast our vote to the party that has our interest at heart”.
The deputy governor congratulated the CTC chairman and other members for their efforts at maintaining law and order and restoring peace in the area for the past three months, charging them to remain focused and ensure that Andoni people join hands in delivering APC in the 2015 election.
Earlier in his speech, the CTC Chairman, Hon. Sampson Egop, explained that his familiarization tour of the area is borne out of the need to meet with the people, identify with their needs, enlighten them of government’s efforts at meeting those needs, and bringing empowerment to them at the grassroots.
He also informed them that it was to prepare them for the forthcoming revalidation of the voters register by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and also to sensitize the youths on the need to eschew violence before, during and after the election.
Also speaking, Chairman of APC in Andoni LGA, Hon. Victor Ere, thanked the people of Andoni, especially Ward 5 for their continued support for the governor, his Deputy, Engr. Tele Ikuru, the state party Chairman, Dr Davies Ikanya, and the party, assuring them that the party would continue to bring more dividends of democracy their way.
