NUJ Hails Amaechi Over Nwuke’s Job
The Rivers State Council of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), has commended Governor Chibuike Amaechi for re-appointing one of its members, Prince Ogbonna Nwuke into the State Executive Council as Commissioner for Commerce and Industry.
The union in a statement issued in Port Harcourt by the state chairman, Mr Opaka Dokubo and the State Secretary, Stanley Job Stanley said the appointment of Prince Ogbonna Nwuke was a step in the right direction, in view of his track records.
While congratulating Prince Ogbonna on his new assignment, the NUJ appealed to Government Amaechi to consider or favour a practicing journalist in the appointment of Information Commissioner.
