Group Lauds Cult Leader For Accepting Amnesty Offer
An association under the aegis of Orashi Network for Physically Challenged Persons (ONPCP) has extolled the repentant freedom fighter, Ejima Dibia Igwe, popularly called Don Wany, for accepting the amnesty offer by Rivers State Government for cultists and criminals in the state.
The association also commended the ex-agitator for his generosity and philanthropy towards the disabled in the area, saying that his support has greatly helped to improve their livelihoods, and encouraged them to believe that they also have immense contributions to make to further lift the state out of the woods.
Addressing journalists after rising from a meeting at Ahoada, headquarters of Ahoada-East Local Government Area last Friday, Chairman of the body, Comrade Ebenezer Joseph Apah, recounted the magnanimity of Don Wany to members of ONPCP weeks after embracing the Rivers State Government amnesty.
He said, the repentant agitator had supported the disabled with undisclosed cash donation and gifts, while also encouraging them to explore their innate potentials; reminding them that any person with deformity was not deformed in wisdom.
Apah recalled Wany’s promise to further assist the body within available resources, and pledged the readiness of members of ONPCP to partner any responsible organisation or individual to promote unity, peace and community development in the area and the state.
The ONPCP leader, therefore, appealed to Governor Nyesom Wike to speed up actions towards rehabilitating the repentant cultists in the state.
They also thanked the lieutenants in Don Wany’s camp: Ndubisi Adiele a.k.a. Kinko No. 2; Laddi Osia a.k.a. Commander; Comrade Austin Osia a.k.a. No. 3, among other.
