Governors’ Forum: Group Hails Amaechi’s Elevation
The Peoples Democratic Core Supporters Network (PCSN), has hailed Governor Chibuike Amaechi’s elevation as the Chairman of Governors Forum, describing him as a true democrat.
The Rivers PCSN Coordinator, Hon. Chinda Ogbuji Evans, while addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt last Thursday said that the Governor’s emergence as Chairman of Governors Forum, has vindicated his earlier stand that Amaechi is a true leader.
Hon. Ogbuji Evans said that Amaechi’s vicitory, would go a long way in cementing democracy in the country.
Describing Amaechi as all time victor, Evans noted Amaechi’s efforts at transforming the state, assuring that Rivers people would be willing to work with him.
In his view, the PCSN’s Patron/Director of Stategy and Political Education, Prof. Lawrence Igwe, said that the Governor’s recent victory has brought a new dawn to the state.
Igwe attributed Amaechi’s elevation at the forum to his accountable leadership, advising detractors to steer clear toward enabling him to provide more people-oriented projects to Rivers people.
Other speakers including the secretary, Hon. Asalem Egbono, Desting Amadi (Youth) the State Woman Leader, Mrs Pauline Banee and Victor Udo Ordu, all showered praises on the Governor.
The PCSN Coordinator however lauded the 23 local government areas of the group over their determination and ability to deliver their massive votes in PDP.
Commending the winners of the recently-concluded local government polls, he noted the role PCSN played to actualize successful re-election of the Governor and other PDP candidates in the state.
But he advised the opposition to reconsider their stand and work together with Amaechi in his bid to transform the state.
