United Airlines Appoints Landover As GSA
The United Airlines, operators of American leading carriers now have Landover Company Limited as its general sales agent (GSA) for Nigerian operations.
The appointment came on the heels of the commencement of United’s daily flight operations from Washington DC to Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, Lagos on December 13, 2010.
This was marked by an elaborate ceremony attended by the Minister of Aviation, Mrs Fidelia Njeze, Nigeria’s Ambassador to the United States, Adebowale Ibidapo Adefuye, Vice-President, Sales of Transatlantic, Middle East and India, United Airlines, Mr Charles Duncan.
Others that graced the occasion were US Consul-General, Lagos, Joseph Stafford as well as the Director-General of the Nigerian Civil Aviation Athority, Dr Harold Demuren and industry chiefs from the public and private sectors.
Speaking at the ceremony, the Managing Director of Landover Compnay Limited, Capt. Edward Boyo, said the appointment of his company as the general sales agent for United Airlines is a mark of the confidence international and local business communities reposed in Landover’s capacity to offer highest quality aviation business solutions.
According to him, “I wish to assure passengers who fly with United Airlines to continental United States and over 1,000 destinations worldwide to expect world-class-in-flight services by United Airlines and exceptional sales support.
