Peace Of ONELGA Remains Our Priority – OSPAC Boss

The new General Commander of ONELGA Security and Peace Advisory Committee (OSPAC), Mr. Emeka Onyeocha, says the peace of Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area remains its priority.
The committee said it is part of its mandate to sanitise and restore orderliness even beyond the local government.
The Commander, who stated this recently in Omoku said the vision of its founders must be adhered to, to achieve total peace and earn the trust of the people.
Onyeocha hinted that the peace enjoyed by residents of the area and beyond could be attributable to the local vigilante.
He maintained that the achievements of the group could not have been possible without the support of the traditional institution, CDCs, youths, women and other stakeholders, saying their collaboration and effort are needed to achieve more.
The OSPAC commander noted that the positive effects of the group could be felt in all parts of the State, adding that peace and orderliness prevalent in the State cannot be compromised, considering what his people passed through in the past.
He said the peace of Omoku and beyond must be pursued with all seriousness, warning criminals to embrace peace for the overall development of the area as no meaningful development can thrive in an atmosphere of rancour and acrimony.
He urged the government at various levels to encourage the group as their entrance has brought total peace to the area.
He said investors can now invest their money without fear or favour, stressing that the issue of security threat is now a thing of the past.
While commending the Oba of Ogbaland for ensuring that peace is sustained in the area, he said his visit was part of the peace building process.
In his words, Eze Ochi Ohia11 of Obor, Eze Emmanuel Ogbuagu expressed gratitude to the Oba-in-Council for its determination to ensure that peace reigns in the area.
Eze Ogbuagu said the visit of the Oba means a lot to his people being the singular reason all and sundry came out en masse to accord him highest honour.
He assured that he will continue to ensure the peace and development of his community as he has done, adding that it is important that everyone comes together to build a better future where their children and those yet unborn can be proud of.
