The recent 100 percent increase in are fares by domestic airlines has attracted condemnation from passengers, who bemoan their plight.
Some of the passengers who spoke in different interviews with The Tide’s source, decried the increase, which has lasted about four weeks.
In Lagos, passengers called on the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission (FCCPC), to intervene to bring down the fares.
According to them, most of the domestic airlines had pegged their minimum fares at N50, 000, from an average of N22, 000.
This, they said, did not take into cognisance the plight of “the suffering masses”.
