SDA Builds 34 Church Stations, Trains Ministers
The leadership of the Seventh Day Adventists Church (SDA), Omoku says the church has built over 34 church stations, secretariat building, registered the church with the Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) and trained ministers from 1919 to 2019.
Other achievements by the church include the acquisition of land, musical set, tent and chairs, stabilisation of the church management, infrastructural and human capital development and the 2019 synod.
This was disclosed by the President, Seventh Day Church of God Incorporated, Nigeria, Pastor Ikegwuru David ChidI during her Centenary celebration held at Omoku, Rivers State.
Chidi, who thanked God for his mercies and keeping the church together till 2020 said, God Almighty made it possible for all to be alive to witness the centenary celebration.
The clergy, who said he thanked God for enabling the church to carry out the programmes, said the SDA achieved the feat from 1919 to date with little resources.
He noted that the church was able to achieve the giant stride through the divine help of God.
Chidi also thanked all those who contributed to the success recorded by the church all the years, and prayed for Almighty God to reward their labours, and to replenish and expand their coast in the coming years.
The clergy outlined the challenges faced by the SDA, Omoku, as several court cases, leadership crises, financial backwardness and educational barriers.
Other challenges, he said include, spiritual backwardness, civil war, death of leaders without proper handover and improper planning and other managerial implications.
