Association Extols Prof Wokocha’s Qualities
The demise of Late Prof Addison Mark Wokocha who hails from Okposi town in Ogba/Egbema/Ndoni Local Government Area of Rivers State has been described as an irreparable loss to Rivers State in particular and Nigeria in general.
The Chairman of Okposi Development Association (ODA), Port Harcourt Branch, Mr. Kingsley Orukwowu made the remarks while addressing newsmen in Port Harcourt recently.
He said that Late Prof Wokocha was a strong and vibrant member of the association with an unequal level of proven integrity, pointing out that the vacuum created by his demise would be difficult to fill.
The association boss explained that Late Prof Wokocha contributed immensely to ameliorate the plight of the poor and development of the society to the benefit of mankind, adding that posterity would hold him in high esteem.
Mr. Orukwowu further explained that Okposi Community honoured Late Prof Wokocha with a chieftaincy title as a way of expressing the people’s gratitude over his magnanimity.
Describing the deceased as a veritable and amiable lecturer, community leader, scholar and erudite Professor of Educational Philosophy, Mr Orukwowu noted that Late Prof Wokocha placed food on the tables of several families, put smiles on the faces of many people and lived a life worthy of emulation and therefore, made an indelible mark on the sands of time.
