Monarch Empowers 14 Indigenes
The Amanyanabo of Ele Kingdom in Ogu/Bolo Local Government Area, Felix Tamunoseipiriala Okuru Apina VII has empowered fourteen (14) indigenes of the community, cutting across the four major War Canoe Houses of the kingdom.
Speaking to The Tide during the epoch making ceremony which was the first of its kind, held recently at Ele Town Square, the Ele Monarch stated that the empowerment was his brain child dream to alleviate poverty in the area.
King Apina VII explained that the exercise would be done monthly and rotational in order for every deserving indigene of the community to benefit from the scheme, adding that Ele Kingdom would achieve greater heights by so doing, despite the antics of some elements, who are trying to set the community backward.
The traditional ruler enjoined the people to always preach peace, unity, love and respect for elders and constituted authorities, as well as to be their brothers’ keeper in order to attract more development, while also assuring the youths of employment opportunities from companies within the area and thanked the organising committee chairman, Hon Fiberesima Minaseichinbo for work well done.
