Airport Managers To Enhance Relationship With Host Communities

Regional Managers of the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) have agreed to enhance cordial communal relationship with the airport host communities.
The four airport regional managers of FAAN have also pledged to support airport managers across the country in enhancing business strategies in a bid to generate more revenue for FAAN.
The Regional Managers in their meetings held recently at the Murtala Mohammed International Airport (MMIA), Lagos, noted the need to improve on the cordial relationship with host communities, which  according to them is in line with the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO) requirements and regulations.
The FAAN Regional managers also agreed to hold annual strategy sessions and urged managers of the airports to always intervene in labour relations and grievances to ensure cordial labour relationships.
The meeting also resolved to oblige meetings with customer care at their various regions and suggested that 25 per cent of the revenue allocation from FAAN headquarters be reserved as intervention fund.
They also resolved to adopt a unified inspection guideline/template as their inspection status report on weekly basis and general monthly reports.
Regional Managers that attended the meeting were the South-West Regional Manager, Mr Solomon Odugbemi, North Central, Engr Sanya N.C, North West, Mr Zakari  Mamuda and South-South/South East, Dr Anne Enyinaya.
