FAAN MD Hails Airport Cooperative Over Members’ Welfare
The Managing Director of Federal Airport Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Engr Saleh Dunoma, has applauded the President and executive members of Airport Fire and Multipurpose Society for their efforts on the welfare of its members.
He has also commended them for impacting positively on the lives of its members, describing it as a job well done in the area of welfare of members of the group within the airport community.
Dunoma, who made the commendation while commissioning the new secretariat complex of the Airport Fire and Multipurpose Society, FAAN Quarters in Lagos, noted that issues of welfare go a long way to encourage workers.
The construction of the building, he said, is beneficial to the organization, as it addresses the welfare of the workforce with facilities such as gym and aerobic dance hall for physical fitness.
“Other facilities such as a big warehouse for all types of electronics for staff purchase and a supermarket designed to serve the needs of members at competitive prices is most commendable”, he said.
Highlight of the event was the presentation of DSTV decoder and dish by the Managing Director to those that won the raffle draw at the event.
The ceremony was greeted by top officers in the aviation industry including dignitaries and representatives from the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA), the Nigeria Airspace Management Authority (NAMA) and FAAN.
FAAN’s Cooperative, Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperators, among others, also graced the occasion, as the gyin in the inception will be accessed through subscription for six months and membership extended to other staff.
