‘Dev Projects In ABOLGA, Not Politically-Motivated’
The Deputy Speaker, Rivers State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Marshall Uwom, has debunked rumours making the rounds that the various developmental projects going on in Abua/Odual Local Government Area of the state are politically-motivated.
Uwom, who disclosed this to The Tide recently at his country home in Otari during the just-concluded a state-run legislative elections in the state said already, the projects have provided leap to indigenes of the areas overtime.
According to him, the flagging-off of the projects was consistent with Governor Nyesom Wike’s electoral promises to the people of Abua/Odual.
He disclosed that despite the recession facing the nation, the Governor has been frugal in the management of scarce resources.
According to Uwom, the governor has worked in such a manner that has addressed the challenges being faced by the people of the state.
He recalled that the inflow of funds that amounts to between N3.5 billion to N4 billion in contrast to between N20 billion and above before has been cause for concern.
“The governor has shown excellent frugality in the management of resources”, he said.
He, however, urged the people of the state to support the governor in his bid to spread development in the state.
