Uwazuruike Hosts Abacha, Dokubo, Others At Ojukwu’s Lecture
Mohammed Abacha,
son of the former Head of State, late Gen Sani Abacha; former Nigeria’s Ambassador to Spain and wife of Biafra warlord, late Chukwuemeka Odumegwu-Ojukwu; Iyom Bianca Ojukwu, former Chief Security Officer to late Gen Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha, are expected to converge at Owerri, Imo State capital on November 26, for the fourth Ojukwu Memorial anniversary and thanksgiving service.
Also expected to converge at Ojukwu Memorial Library, New Owerri, venue of the anniversary, are leaders of major ethnic militia groups across the country, including the former leader of Niger Delta Peoples Volunteer Force (NDPVF), Alhaji Mujaheed Asari-Dokubo; leader of Oodua Peoples’ Congress (OPC), Dr. Fredrick Fasehun; and leader of Arewa Peoples’ Congress (APC), Alhaji Yerima Shetima.
Other personalities also expected at the occasion, include former President of Ohanaeze Ndigbo and Deputy Chairman of Supreme Council of Elders for the Indigenous People of Biafra (SECIPOB), Dr. Dozie Ikedife (Ikenga Nnewi); traditional ruler of Nri ancient kingdom, Eze Obidiegwu Onyesoh; ex-Biafra war veterans, among others.
In a press statement issued to newsmen, yesterday in Onitsha, Anambra State and signed by Director of Information, Biafra Independence Movement/Movement for the Actualization of Sovereign State of Biafra (BIM/MASSOB), Mazi Chris Mocha, identified Chief Ralph Uwazuruike, founder of BIM/MASSOB as the chief host of the event, while Chief MASSOB Leader, Mr. Solomon Ordu Chukwu, would be the co-host.
The statement quoted Uwazuruike as saying that he had concluded all necessary arrangements to celebrate the fourth memorial anniversary of Ojukwu, the late head of state of the defunct Biafra republic, who he said, was still very fresh in our memories, even after four years of his demise and interment.
The statement described this year’s memorial anniversary for the late Ojukwu as very unique and significant, hence the involvement of all these important dignitaries and freedom fighters in the ceremony.
