Rivers NJCN Mourns Scribe
The National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Rivers State chapter, has described the death of the Administrative Secretary of the council, late Chief Victor Ake as tragic to the body.
The chairman of NYCN, Amb Sukubo-Sara-Igbe Sukubo state this when he led other executive members of the Association on a condolence visit to the family of late administrative secretary’s in Ahoada East Local Governmnet Area of the state.
Amb Sukubo described the late Administrative Secretary as a strong pillar for the state NYCN adding that he worked tirelessly to ensure that the council became the best chapter in the country.
He said that late Chief Ake would be greatly remembered for his dedicated service and commitment to the council while assuring that the council would participate actively in his burial.
The state NYCN boss urged the family to take solace in God at this period of their grief adding that as a mortal they cannot question God for the death of their beloved.
Responding on behalf of the family, the wife of the bereaved, Mrs Victor Ake Chita and the first son, Mr Martins Victor Ake thanked the leadership of NYCN for the visit and promised to communicate burial arrangements to the deceased’s employers in due course.
Meanwhile, the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Rivers State chapter has conducted election into the executives of the sixteen local government Areas chapters.
The LGAs where the elections were conducted and winners emerged included Opobo/Nkoro, Ahoada West, Ahoada East, Asari-Toru, Akuku-Toru, Degema. Others were Omuma, Port Harcourt, Eleme, Ikwerre, Abua/Odual, Andoni and Etche LGAs. However, Oyigbo and Ogu/Bolo Local Governmnet Areas were put on hold while that of Bonny, Khana, Tai and Emohua would be held over the weekend.
Speaking during a courtesy visit on the chairman, caretaker committee of Bonny Local Government Council recently, NYCN state chairman, Amb Sokubo Sara-Igbe Sokubo said they were in Bonny to see how they can partner with the LGA leadership on youth development and empowerment.
