Okowa Pledges To Build Market At Orerokpe
The Peoples
Democratic Party’s (PDP) governorship candidate in Delta State, Sen. Ifeanyi Okowa, has promised to build an ultra-modern market at Orerokpe if elected.
Okowa made the promise at the party’s governorship campaign held at Orerokpe in Okpe Local Government Area.
He also promised to include Okpe in the Urban Renewal Scheme.
Okowa told party supporters that the traditional ruler of Okpe Kingdom, retired Maj.-Gen. Felix Mujakperuo, had assured him of a plot of land where the market would be cited.
He urged the Oreropke people to vote en masse for the PDP at all levels.
“I have already won the election. I am speaking because God has said it, God never lies.
Okowa said he would not dissolve the Delta Oil Producing Development Areas Commission (DESOPADEC) Board and some government parastatals if elected.
Deputy Governor Amos Utuama of Delta advised the people to vote for political parties that would bring good governance to them.
“It is only the PDP that can bring the dividends of democracy, stability and progress to the people”, he said.
Chairman of PDP in Delta, Mr Edwin Uzor, urged the people to vote massively for the party in the forthcoming elections.
He also advised them to collect their permanent voter cards to enable them to carry out their civic rights.
