Don Hails The Tide’s Production Process

Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), Publishers of The Tide Newspaper, has been commended over its computerised nature of print production.
A Principal Lecturer Department of Mass Communication at the Akwa Ibom State Polytechnic, Mr Lawrence Ubah, made the commendation last Friday, when he led a team of his students on excursion to the corporation’s headquarters in Port Harcourt.
He said The Tide was the only print media that was into computerised system of newspaper printing among the ones they have so far, visited.
Ubah, noted that in most print media, their production was done without computers.
According to him, the electronic has placed The Tide ahead of its counterparts across the country.
He expressed the hope that he would experience a better digitalised system upon their next visit.
He hinted that polytechnic education allows a kind of practical exposure of the students, hence, the excursion to The Tide.
“What we do in the polytechnic is to expose our students to the happenings in the world”, he said.
Another reason, according to him, was to enable the students have practical knowledge of the classroom work.
Ubah, also stated that there was no known school drawn for practical experience, while lauding The Tide’s management for the priviledge.
The team was led round the corporation by Mr Sam Nnari, a director in the corporation.
