Navy To Inaugurate Referral Hospital, 2014
The Chief of Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Dele Ezeoba, has said that the Navy Referral Hospital in Calabar would be completed and be inaugurated in the first quarter of 2014.
Ezeoba made the disclosure in an interview with newsmen in Calabar.
The chief of naval staff was in Calabar to inspect the hospital project and inaugurate other projects executed by the Eastern Naval Command.
He expressed happiness that work at the hospital was progressing as planned.
“I reckon that in the first quarter of 2014, the hospital will be ready for inauguration. “We have been working on it, considering that the hospital has been abandoned for close to 30 years.’’
He said that the hospital would have all the trappings of a modern hospital to make it one of the best in the country.
“As a referral hospital, a lot of work still has to be done. We are doing what is humanly possible to put things right.
“I am assuring you that in the first quarter of 2014, we will have that hospital inaugurated,” Ezeoba said.
