China, Indonesia For Lagos Trade Fair
Foreign exhibitors from
China and Indonesia are among the organisations that have shown interest to participate in the 2013 edition of Eko Expo Trade Fair.
A statement by the organisers last Sunday, which stated this, added that the event starting this week was aimed at promoting locally made products in the country.
It quoted the Special Adviser to the Lagos State Governor on Commerce and Industry, Mr. Oluseye Oladejo, as saying the fair was being organised in collaboration with the Lekki Free Zone Development Company.
He stressed that the event would promote investment opportunities in the state.
The expo, according to the statement, will also provide platform for operators in the small and medium scale industries to showcase their products.
It stated that the opening programme, which would hold at the Lekki Free Trade Zone, would be attended by the state governor, Mr. Babatunde Fashola, as the special guest, with other dignitaries.
Free transportation, it said, would be made available for visitors to the expo from the Oriental Hotel Victoria Island to and fro the fairground through the seven days that the fair would last.
Oladejo urged visitors to the expo to take advantage of the fair and reaffirmed the determination of the state government to provide market for locally made products and encourage investments in the state.
“This administration is committed to maintaining the status of Lagos State as the economic hub of the nation and as a State of Excellence and aquatic splendor,” he said.
