Katsina Awards N4.7bn Road Contract
The Katsina State Government, has awarded
contract of N4.7 billion for the rehabilitation of two major roads in the
state.
Signing the contract in Katsina on
Wednesday, the state Commissioner for Works and Transport, Alhaji Mustapha
Maikudi, said the job was awarded to Mothercat Construction Company.
He said the contract would cover a distance
of 112 kilometres and were for Mashi-Mani-Ingawa-Bindawa-Kusada, and
Ingawa-Kankia Roads.
Maikudi said that the rehabilitation and
asphalt of the two roads was expected to be completed in 18 months and asked
the contractor to quickly mobilise to site.
The commissioner assured that the State
Government would continue to accord road project top priority in order to
enhance socio-economic activities in the state.
Maikudi also reiterated the commitment of
the State Government to continue to deliver dividends of democracy to people of
the state.
He urged the people to continue to support
the administration’s policies that were aimed at improving their living
condition.
