Climate Challenges: Ericsson Recommends ICT
In a bid to regulate the surge of climate challenges, Ericsson has suggested Information and Communication Technology (ICT) as a way forward.
The Ericsson sustainability Director, Globally, Matilda Guspaffou, said this in an interview with journalists in Lagos recently.

She noted that Nigeria and other African countries can act based on the high presence of broadband infrastructure in the continent and provide lasting solutions to climate changes.
She pointed out that the digitalization aim of the nation could be achieved via broadband deployment as well as increasing the progress of the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs).
According to her, more than 75 per cent of the Co2 emission was produced by urban cities.
She said her company has channeled an ICT base solution to the transport system in some of its host countries.
She also stated that the company has unveiled a package known as community power initiative, adding that the company uses ICT to reduce excess of electricity.
Earlier, she said that upto 60 per cent of power generated across the globe were lost in transit, thereby, posing challenges in the society.
