FAAN Receives Recovered Vehicles From ICPC
The Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) has taken delivery of seventeen vehicles that were recovered from ex-officials of the authority by the Independent Corrupt Practices and other Related Offences Commission (ICPC).
A press release from the corporate affairs department of the authority, which was made available to airport correspondents in Port Harcourt explained that the handing over ceremony was held at the authority’s head office in Lagos.
FAAN’s Managing Director, Engr. Saleh Dunoma who was represented by the director of maintenance and Engineering services, Engr. Salisu Daura, at the ceremony, expressed delight at the partnership between the authority and ICPC.
Dunoma used the opportunity to thank the ICPC management for their efforts at ensuring that the vehicles are not only recovered, but are handed over to the authority.
He however, implored the ICPC officers to continue in this stride, so that all other vehicles still outside,that belong to FAAN are recovered and handed over.
Also speaking at the handover ceremony, the Chairman of the ICPC, represented by the zonal commissioner, Mr Shintema Binga, who handed over the keys of the vehicles to FAAN, expressed the determination of ICPC to work in synergy with FAAN.
According to him, the ICPC as an agency saddled with the responsibility of fighting corruption is willing to partner with agencies that will not promote corrupt practice.
