Cleric Tasks Christians On Thanksgiving
The Bishop of Methodist Church Nigeria, Bishop of D/Line Diocese, Rt Rev Etim Ekong, has enjoined Christians to imbibe the spirit of thanksgiving in every day of their lives.
Rt Rev Ekong gave the advice during a dedication of twin babies and thanksgiving service by His Majesty, King Leslie Nyebuchi Eke V, Eze Gbakagbaka, Eze Oha Evo III of Evo Kingdom at Methodist Church Nigeria, Woji in Obio/Akpor Local Government Area recently.
The Bishop who took his text from the book of Genesis Chapter 35 verse 31 with the theme, “God’s Faithfulness” said no matter any circumstances and challenges, there is need for one to give thanks to God for his goodness, caring and love for mankind”.
The man of God reiterated that God is faithful in his promises and cares for everybody equally despite the short-comings, stressing that he shows concern to all his children and that nobody should relent in praying until the answer comes.
He noted that both male and female children are gifts from God and should be given equal rights and urged all to use their positions in life well as they would account for it.
In his speech, the celebrant, King Leslie Nyebuchi Eke, expressed delight with the array of dignitaries that honoured his invitation, saying God saved his life from a near fatal accident recently as well as blessed him with twin babies.
