Nigeria, Egypt Friendly For Jan 9
Nigeria league players will take on AFCON-bound Egypt on January 9 in Dubai, officials have confirmed.
Egypt plan to use this game to prepare for the AFCON in Gabon.
Interestingly, Egypt eliminated Nigeria from the AFCON after a double header in March.
This warm-up game will also afford Nigeria coach Gernot Rohr to work more closely with players who feature in the domestic league.
Consequently, Sports analyst John Akpan has advised the Super Eagles Coach not to be biased in his selection of players, saying that the best way for him to succeed is to ensure that we select players who are determined to make name for the country.
“For the few games we had executed we saw improvement in the pattern of play, but if we want to achieve success we must select players without bias”, Akpan said.
