The Chairman,
Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), Prof Attahiru Jega, has begun inspection of some INEC facilities in Asaba, Delta.
Jega, who arrived at the Asaba International Airport at about 5.30 p.m., was on a two-day tour of INEC facilities in the state.
The chairman, who refused to answer questions from newsmen, inspected a former INEC rented apartment on Ibusa Road, Asaba.
He also inspected the newly completed Oshimili South Local Government INEC office at the council and the new Resident Electoral Commissioner’s residence on High Court Road in Asaba.
Reports says that Jega will on Tuesday attend a workshop organised by the Delta State Independent Electoral Commission (DSIEC).
The INEC boss will also inspect facilities at the Electoral Institute, Oghara, a prototype office in Sapele and the abandoned prototype local government area office in Agbor.
Jega is expected to round up the visit with a meeting with the management and staff of INEC before holding a media briefing.
The INEC chairman was conducted on the tour by the Resident Electoral Commissioner, Dame Khan, among other staff from Abuja and Delta.
