Handball Coach Names Players For U-20 Women’s Qualifiers
Coach Stephen Adebayo of the U-20 national women’s team has released names of 14 players for the International Handball Federation qualifiers in Ghana.
He announced this selection after a friendly match between his team and FRSC team at the National Stadium in Abuja.
Adebayo said the girls had been going through screeming and training in camp, adding that 19 girls came to camp for the training.
Adebayo named the players as Judith Ameou (captain), Blessing Patrick and Okpe Patience (goal keepers).
The rest are Blessing Nwaeni, Rechael Shalon, Adah Oke, Ruth Jonah, Faith Enegbeduem, Ezinne Oyenmaechi, Janet Hassan, Blessing John, Taiwo Raji, Bely Godwin and Mercy Samuel.
The team was defeated by FRSC 31-23 in a friendly match.
The coach said his team tried but was lacking in goalkeeping which he would work on.
