Court Reinstates Owumi As NPL Chairman
A Federal High Court sitting in Abuja has reinstated Davidson Owumi as chairman of the Nigeria Premier League.
Owumi was removed as NPL chairman by a resolution of the Congress of the Nigeria Football Federation in December 2010, but has continued to insist that the decision, based on an arbitration hearing headed by Professor Ibidapo Obe, was wrong.
Presiding judge, Gabriel Kolawole ruled that Owumi should return to office pending the determination of the suit he filed challenging his removal by the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF).
