Rivers, Now Preferred Destination – Banigo
The Rivers State Deputy Governor, Dr Ipalibo Harry Banigo, has expressed delight that the House of Representatives Committee on Banking and Currency chose Port Harcourt, the Rivers State capital to host its 2017 retreat.
In a statement in Government House, Port Harcourt, Banigo said “Rivers State has become the preferred destination for international and national conferences and retreats because of the serene nature of the city and the tradional hospitality of the Rivers people”.
The deputy governor encouraged investors to take advantage of the positive business climate in the state and provide jobs for our teaming youth.
According to her, government was desirous to ensure that no genuine investor was molested in the state, irrespective of clime or creed.
“The Governor Nyesom Wike-led administration is conscious of the fact that government alone cannot provide jobs for all the eligible job seekers in the state. This is why it has created the enabling environment for the private sector to do business, and in the process, engage our youth who have now developed a positive attitude to work, hardworking and enterprising”, Banigo stressed to underscore the importance government places on creating a friendly business climate.
