Group Unveils Website To Educate, Support Youths
A group, Campaign.ng
has unveiled a website to support Nigerian youths aspiring to contest political offices in 2015 general elections, irrespective of their affiliations.
Founder of the website, Mr Uche Chuta, said in Abuja that this had become necessary because of its potency to create awareness and sell the candidacy of aspirants.
Chuta said that the website would redefine the value of youths and their impact in deciding the outcome of elections in the country.
“The website is an effective website platform that will significantly support the aspiration of youths who seek to take up elective positions,’’ he said.
He said that the website would help candidates to reel out their manifestoes including their qualifications and the position they were interested in.
“It is a platform that will help the youths.’’
Chuta said that each candidate wanting to contest an election could upload his or her curriculum vitae and other things they would want the public to know on the platform.
He said that Nigerian youths who had such aspiration could indicate their interests in the website, and any form of support could be sought for them through the channel.
The Tide reports that Campaign.ng is a simplified out of the box social media platform designed to enable youths join their voices in their quest to be leaders of tomorrow.
The youths can log on to www.campaign.ng to create a campaign, register as volunteers, make donations to support candidates and get the latest politics related news as it concerns them.
The Director of Campaign.ng, Mr Tonye Princewill, said that the platform would help the youths to help themselves in taking part in running the affairs of the country.
He said that the medium would help to create the needed awareness that would help the youths contribute their quota to the development of the country through elective posts.
