Trader Charges FG On Local Phone Manufacture
The Federal Government
has been called to establish cell phone manufacturing industries in the country as to limit foreign dependency.
A cell phone dealer at the computer village in Port Harcourt (near Oilmill), Mrs Ihuoma Onyinyechi, said this while fielding questions from journalists in Port Harcourt, Wednesday.
The phone dealer, said that the Federal Government can prevail on some phone makers around the world to establish their plants in Nigeria.
Onyinyechi, told the press that the government should learn how to encourage the growth of the nation’s small scale industries by exposing them to the global world.
She reasoned that if the Federal Government introduced phone making industries to the country, the small industries will naturally key in and develop.
According to her, the development, will address the issue of unemployment in the country.
