Semenitari Lists Benefits Of Thanksgiving
The Rivers State Commissioner for Information and Communications, Mrs Ibim Semenitari says, the ministry has every reason to thank God for his goodness to the ministry in the previous years.
Mrs Semenitari said this Sunday at the Charismatic Renewal Ministries, Zion Faith International, D/Line, Port Harcourt during the Ministry’s annual thanksgiving service.
The commissioner said that in the last two years since the inception of the thanksgiving programme the Lord has shown tremendous support to the ministry and its parastatals.
She noted that this situation has made the ministry to go beyond mere fasting and thanksgiving to seek for the face of God.
While expressing gratitude to God for accepting the ministry’s offerings, the commissioner declared that the successes recorded so far by the ministry would have not been possible without God.
In his sermon, the Pastor in charge of the church Mr Paulinus Nsirim who is also a Director in the Ministry, said that what will galvanise the ministry this year is that the staffers must have a pure heart and love one another, and also be prepared to give good report about themselves and their parastatals.
He listed other virtues which the ministry must uphold to include: truthfulness, honesty and fairness and urged them to give their lives to Christ.
The service was attended by the permanent secretary Mrs Jokotade Adamu, Directors and heads of parastatals of the ministry.
