Bombings: Boko Haram Is Fighting God – NULGE
The National Union of Local Government Employees (NULGE), has described the bombing of churches and Christian worshippers by the deadly Islamic sect- Boko Haram in Northern parts of the country as ‘a fight against God’ and urged the sect to fear God and their onslaught.
Expressing concern over the bombing of churches in the North, President of NULGE, Rivers State Chapter, Sir Barr. Franklin Ajinwo said it is sheer ‘madness’ for Boko Haram to resort to continued bombing of Christians their target in a secular state like Nigeria.
Barr. Ajinwo who was in Abuja to attend the ‘call to Bar’ of his daughter, during which three churches in Bauchi and Jos were bombed, could not understand why anybody or group would resort to such heinous crime noting that the perpetrators are ‘possesssed.’
The NULGE boss who was barring his mind to The Tide said, “The issue of bombing, taking human lives…, I think it’s madness. It does not matter how you feel about it no person has the right to take the life of another.”
“A situation where you know that your action is going to take several lives, you need to think; if the people who are behind this are human beings… I think they’re demons; they’re possessed! That’s the truth of the matter.”
Ajinwo insisted that, “you can’t just want to take the lives of others, irrespective of their positions. And moreso, trying to do it in the churches where people have gathered to worship God, you are fighting God! You are challenging God! Because those ones (Boko Haram, they’re not worshipping God (not bombing and killing for God), its for their own (selfish) interest.”
“So we advice that this (bombings and killings) should stop because it’s not doing anybody any good,” he enthused.
