RSNC Vows To Improve Revenue Profile
The management of the Rivers State Newspaper Corporation (RSNC), publishers of The Tide group of newspapers, has expressed its determination to improve the revenue profile of the corporation this year.
The General Manager, Mr. Celestine Ogolo said this in Port Harcourt at the close of business transaction ceremony organised by the Accounts Department of the corporation yesterday.
Mr. Ogolo said that the accounts department would play crucial role in the new business plan of the corporation, stressing that with the calibre of personnel in the department, the management had no doubt that the targeted objective would be realised.
According to him, management expected the department to act as advisers in the current effort to improve the revenue base of the corporation.
Mr. Ogolo thanked staff of the department for their sense of commitment and co-operation and assured of management’s preparedness to revisit its promise of a conducive environment for their operations.
On his part, the Editor, (Daily) of The Tide Newspaper, Mr. Soye Jamabo said that the spirit of team work among staff of the department had become a challenge to other departments particularly, the Editorial Department.
Also speaking, the Director, Administration, Mr. Alfred Nworgu said that the department has become the envy of others owing to its long years of team spirit.
He also lauded them for maintaining cordial relationship with their counterparts in the administration and urged for its sustenance.
Earlier, the Director, Finance and Accounts of the Corporation, Mr. Ojo A. Alfred listed the achievements of the department in the period under review to include balancing all account books, reconciling all bank transactions, computation and implementation of all promotion arrears as well as deletion of names of retired officers, from the pay roll.
Mr. Alfred reminded them of the need to sustain the symbiotic relationship, while cultivating the habit of peace, hardwork, team- work, punctuality and dedication to work.
