Telecom Firm Wins LAIF Award
Etisalat has emerged winner at the just concluded Best Radio Commercial in the telecommunications and product services at the Lagos Advertising International Festival (LAIF) awards held in Lagos recently.
Other companies like ‘Say hello’ Radio commercial that won gold award at the Festival with Etisalat also went home with silver and bronze awards with ‘Easy Life’ and ‘Smart Girl commercials respectively.
The telecom company, had silver with its ‘Real Connecting People’ creative work by STBMC-Cann for Adverts which was not among the outdoor category plus two bronze awards for ‘Easy Life’ and ‘Easy Net’ in the TV and press commercials for telecoms products and services category.
The company’s Director, Brands and Communication, Enitan Denloye, said that the company is best known for its innovative style.
Mr Denloye, who spoke while receiving the awards, noted that the company’s innovativeness has ranked it among the most innovative telecommunication company in the country.
He explained that it has also rubbed off on the advertising materials produced by its agencies.
“I dedicate these awards to the company’s leadership and hardwork of other members of staff, and I also thank the organisers of this event for recognising the quality of what we do”, he said.
Also speaking, the president, Association of Advertising Agencies of Nigeria (AAAN), Mr Rafiu Zadipo, said that the aim of the award was to celebrate creativity.
While congratulating Etisalat for the victory, he hinted that the award is also necessary, adding that LAIF will continue to reward those doing well in their respective businesses in order to encourage them.
