Pensioners At PH Airport Get New Officers
Members of the Nigerian Union of Pensioners, Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN), Port Harcourt International Airport Omagwa Branch, have elected new officers to pilot the affairs of the union for the next four years.
In a peaceful election which was held late October this year, all the previous officers of the union were unanimously returned unopposed by the members.
According to a statement signed by the chairman of the union, Comrade Vincent Nweke (JP),and the Public Relations Officer, Comrade Raymond Nwachukwu(JP) , which was made available to aviation correspondents Tuesday, Nweke was returned as the chairman, while Pastor Peter Madume was returned as the vice.
Also, Comrade John Elijah was returned as the Secretary, Raymond Nwachukwu as the Public Relations Officer and Ezinne Christian Kamalu as the Treasurer.
The rest that were re- elected unopposed are Comrade Mbadiwe Orlu,who was returned as the Trustee and Comrade Confidence Amadi, as the Internal Auditor.
In his speech shortly after the election, the National Administrative Secretary and the leader of the union’s delegation from Lagos,Comrade Emeka Njoku, charged the new executive to be deligent and fair minded in the discharge of their duties.
Comrade Njoku also commended members for the peaceful election and the comradeship that exists between them.
